Keep your fingers crossed for good weather! We will keep an eye on the forecast & you’ll hear from us the day before your session if we need to reschedule for bad weather.

After Your Shoot

Approximately 2-3 weeks after the shoot your gallery will be available. You will be emailed with a password where you will be able to download your folder of images. You are also able to order professional quality prints, canvases, holiday cards, and other photo products directly from your gallery. 

What to Expect

Even though we only have 15-20 minutes together, that does not mean that we do not have enough time. The biggest thing you can do to help your session go smoothly is to relax and let me worry about getting beautiful photos. 

My goal is to capture your family together playing at the tree farm. I will guide you into poses and areas with beautiful lighting. Feel free to adjust to my prompts as needed to reflect your level of comfort. I am not a traditional posed photographer, although I will try to get some family-style portraits that reflect your family’s unique personality.  If you have any specific shots in mind please let me know, I will also ask at the end of the session if there was anything, we didn’t cover that you had in mind. I would love to hear your ideas so if you have any, don’t be shy let’s try them!

This is private property, so our furry pals are asked to stay home. 

For this event, we will be following strict social distancing and state guidelines for protecting everyone from COVID-19. Thus please follow these requirements for your session. 

- When you arrive, please remain in your car until 5-10 minutes before your session time. 

- This is to help keep the number of families out at a time.

• - Use the time when you step out of the car to get any last details ready (one last hair brush, change baby’s diaper, etc). 
• - Maintain social distancing at all times. You do not need to wear masks as long as you keep your space from any other family that may be there. 
• - I will be wearing a mask the entire time.
• - As much as we all want to hang around and chat after your session, I ask that you please return to your car so to make room for more families to move through the line.

When you feel comfortable and confident, it shows on camera. Choose wardrobes that reflects your family’s styles both as a whole and individually – variety is good. Coordinate outfits but don’t match. What this means is wear similar colors and patterns but mix it up, maybe mom wears a red scarf while the baby is wearing a red dress and dad has on a red tie. Little accents go a long way.

A few more specific ideas for Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions are to consider contrasting with the green in the trees to stand out beautifully and not clash. Pops of red look beautiful with all of the rich green trees. Other colors that work well are dark blues or even maroons. Neutrals also look beautiful, but I would stray away from outfits completely white or completely black.

Plaid, soft hats, and/or scarves are also beautiful additions to make your photos feel even more festive! Consider the weather and wear layers when possible, this makes clothes look great on everyone. Please don't hesitate with any questions on wardrobe ideas. For younger girls wearing dresses, I highly recommend a pair of shorts or tights on underneath her dress as we do plenty of playing, twirling, dancing, and hanging upside down during sessions!
